On August 20, 2004 at 03:47 a.m., nuclear employees of Energoatom started loading fuel into the reactor core of Unit 4 at the Rivne NPP
The important operation was performed by the refueling machine in automatic mode.
According to the schedule approved in 2001, it was planned to start loading fuel on September 30, 2004. However, nuclear employees managed to perform the operation a month earlier.
Later, the unit startup provided Ukraine with a large capacity margin, which gave a strong impetus to the development of our country’s economy.
