Emergency exercise to be held at Khmelnytskyi NPP
On October 23, 2024, a plant-wide emergency exercise “Radiation Accident Resulting from an Emergency at the Affiliate “SS “Khmelnytskyi NPP” will be held at the industrial site of Khmelnytskyi NPP.
The purpose of the emergency exercise is to check the readiness of Khmelnytskyi NPP management and emergency teams to act in case of an emergency at the NPP; improve practical skills of the operating personnel to detect and classify the accidents, bring control bodies, forces and means into readiness for actions to localize and eliminate the emergency; organize and implement measures for radiation protection of personnel, the public and the environment; ensure the functioning of the warning and communication system.
During the emergency exercise, KhNPP will practice interaction with local and territorial bodies of the State Emergency Service, the Ministry of Internal Affairs of Ukraine, as well as local executive authorities.
