New powerful equipment delivered to Khmelnytskyi NPP to be used for the completion of power units
Preparatory work is underway at Khmelnytskyi nuclear power plant to complete power units 3 and 4 and build new power units 5 and 6 using AP 1000 technology of the American company Westinghouse.
Thus, to perform part of the work at the plant site, the builders received new modern equipment – a heavy Sinomach GTY 220 bulldozer. It is designed for land works planning and soil layer shear and movement. Belonging to the class of heavy machinery, this machine of joint Ukrainian-Chinese production weighs about 25 tons. Its length is almost 5.5 m, width is over 3.7 m, and height is over 3.3 m.
As a reminder, the Committee on Energy, Housing and Utilities of the Verkhovna Rada of Ukraine considered and approved the draft Law of Ukraine “On the Siting, Design, and Construction of Units 3 and 4 of the Khmelnytskyi Nuclear Power Plant”. The next step is consideration of this document in the Parliament session hall.
