Energoatom successfully conducted a common-plant emergency response drill
On June 12-13, 2024, the South Ukraine NPP, together with the management of JSC “NNEGC
“Energoatom” and separate entities of the Company, conducted a common-plant emergency
response drill.
Similar events are held at domestic NPPs annually. These are extremely important in wartime
conditions, when the enemy deliberately targets Ukraine's energy infrastructure.
The representatives of the Ministry of Energy, the State Nuclear Regulatory Inspectorate, the
Ministry of Health, the State Emergency Service, as well as specialists of the special monitoring
mission of the IAEA, who were at the plant, observed the development of the missile attack
scenario in the NNEGC Crisis Center.
Summarizing, the drill participants emphasized the quick and high-quality response of all
responsible services of separate entities of Energoatom, coordination, as well as endurance and
professionalism during the accident liquidation (conditionally, according to the training) at the NPP.
