How does nuclear power affect global climate change? Nuclear employees talked about that with students of the State University of Infrastructure and Technologies
On October 24, specialists of JSC “NNEGC “Energoatom” met with students of the State University of Infrastructure and Technologies to discuss the topic “NPP and mitigating global climate change on the planet”.
Students acquiring “Transport Technologies” profession and future ecologists took part in the event. Young people were acquainted with researches of global warming root causes, its sources, and global trends in solving the existing problem. Moreover, students learned why the European Commission had included nuclear energy in the list of “green” technologies of the “taxonomy” as transitional technologies that should help in achieving climate neutrality.
For further immersion in the world of nuclear energy, students were offered a virtual tour of any NPP in Ukraine.
